We are part of a family tradition that truly cares about the quality of the aviation products we produce.

Joe and Sarah Lauerman, a husband and wife team, brought Safeway Aviation Products to Gainesville, Florida in 2020. However, their roots and the company go back to the Midwest. This means they know the value of customer service and the importance of creating more than sales. Safeway Aviation Products is about creating relationships. The relationship with Safeway products starts with family. Sarah’s father acquired Safeway in 1975 from its founder in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In the early days, everyone in the family had a hand in making the Safeway yoke clips (yes, even all three of the kids helped.) It truly was a grassroots company. The product line grew to include pitot tube covers and later, the Wick-Tector®. Along the way, the oldest of the helpful kids (Sarah’s brothers) took the helm of Safeway under the sister aircraft parts companies of Rapco, Inc. and Rapco Fleet Support, Inc. After 46-years of Safeway in the family, Joe and Sarah are happy to carry on the good work.

We feel like it’s a full-circle moment embracing a company that has always been part of the family and carries memories we will now pass on to the next generation. That is why our aircraft products are more than just manufactured goods. We are part of a family tradition that truly cares about the quality of the aviation products we produce.”
